Cake (plate with cake nicely decorated) and good coffee. Unfortunately due to Corona restrictions. Go back if allowed
There are not many option at the menu. The quality of the food was low, I ordered a simple pumpkin soup and it was horrible, even worse than a supermarket one, the supplied bread was not tasty as well, just boring white bread.
Nice service, little visited due to Corona. Cappuccino and sandwich were good. A little cool in terms of room temperature.
It used to be better (2014) ...
A wonderful ambience helped by exceedingly friendly service and a great choice of well prepared foods and drinks. Enjoy yourself with friends or come along to read the newspapers and magazines (free) or bring a book, a nice sheltered garden rounds off a pleasant break. A no hurry, welcoming café, look out for the buffet breakfast, bring an appetite. August 2020: Re-opened! Wonderful news. Now being run by the excellent cook who was there until the last owner ran the café for a year or so.
It was shut down when we got there - website doesn’t mention anything, neither does their google page.
Currently closed. Thanks for no info!
Previously a great place for a Sunday brunch. After several changes of the chef, the quality has unfortunately decreased a lot.
Delicious, very cool and very friendly! Really top?
The prices were noticeably tightened in the last 2 years, the supply of food reduced. Nevertheless, you can eat well there.
Quietly located in a side street in Bockenheim, the Albatros is a quiet little oasis with a small but fine offer and friendly service.
The service is very good, young friendly and attentive. The food is good and varied
Here you can definitely have a fantastic breakfast, very idyllic back in the garden. The service is super and accommodating, everything tasted wonderful and fresh. We shared a large breakfast plate with extra scrambled eggs, but more than enough. The farmer's bread is particularly worth mentioning. I'll be back!
Had a fantastic lunch with delicious food and very good service. The portions were generous and the ingredients wholesome and fresh. The interior is a cozy blend of old tables and chairs interspersed with squishy old sofas. The cakes also looked very tempting but we didn’t have a chance to try them. Highly recommend the chicken schnitzel an spinach knödel.
Very poor service. 1.5 hours wait for a salad, as it was "very full". Even drinks you could not reorder 1.5 hours, because no service in sight or can not be stopped. You have to come forward to pay yourself, otherwise you will never finish. Unfortunately, it has always been like this when I was here.
Nice place with good food and service. You must taste local weizen
My God, what was that? € 60.00 for a brunch that I would have done better at home! We have been going to the Albatros for thirty years now after two years ... again for the last time !!!
Nice service and nice boss. The prices for drinks are also good and we just felt comfortable. Come back in any case!
Weak Sunday brunch unfortunately. For 14 € pp too careless, too low standard. Funny bread processing. Ambiance not really comfortable. Nice service.
Great, varied brunch on Sunday. During the week also very delicious food. However, the price is disproportionately high and it can take a little longer. Nevertheless, all very friendly. The Sunday brunch is well worth it.
Good food for brunch at reasonable price. Very crowded even at reserved tables
I often come to Albatros. It is one of the few student locations in Frankfurt. Especially in the summer it is beautiful in the backyard! The brunch is highly recommended and otherwise you are small, but fine selection of dishes very tasty and reasonably priced. One of my favorite places in Frankfurt
Great, easy-going cafè with tasty cakes. They also serve breakfast, even later in the day. In spring and summer there is a comfortable garden in the back, and on Sundays a all you can eat buffet for 15 EUR.
Interesting atmosphere. Cosy inside but with some long tables and a beer garden out back. I've been here several times cause it's never too busy.
Käsespätzle with salad were very delicious, but unfortunately the service absolutely miserable. Have waited a 3/4 hour to be able to order at all. The beer garden was not completely filled. The olives ordered as an appetizer were brought after the main course- you could have let then. To reorder drinks, you had to go inside. Nice place to sit outside, but disappointing service.
We went there for brunch. One hour before the brunch was over, there was almost nothing left, and we were promissed they would bring more scrumbled eggs. They brought nothing although we asked twice. The waitress at the end explicitly told us to give her tips, and we had to explain why we considered she deserved none. Not the cleanest place either.
Nice beer garden but overwhelmed and unfriendly staff. We were only able to order a fraction of the items on the menu as everything was off. My girlfriend got a meal here after 10 minutes, I after over 1 hour and 15 minutes. The ordered gnocchi also tasted like prepackaged in the supermarket. None of the staff apologized for the inconvenience to us. We will not come any more!
Beautifully decorated place! I'd say there's three zones, a casual one with wooden chairs, a rather Victorian one with deep seated armchairs and low tables and the outside, which looks like a pretty balcony! (but is as big as a garden). The food was really good, I want there for the buffet. It's a little on the pricier side with 13,50 (I think!) for a buffet without drinks, but cake is included and they have a wide variety of them. Plus the kitchen is right next to the all-you-can-eat, so if something's missing or went empty, you can wait a little and get a good refill for everyone! Definitely coming here again, just to sit in those armchairs.
Delicious meal. The atmosphere is great and it's very nice and quiet outside. You can quickly forget that you are in Frankfurt; you can borrow cards and chess. If necessary, it is advisable to bring your own games
Good for tea or coffee, but the breakfast are not so amazing.
Institution with good beer, good service, and decent food for fair money
The food is okay (was better and cheaper before the last change of ownership), the cakes mostly good. You often get a place spontaneously. A nice place to sit, noon or evening.
Waitresses polite, but food was everything but special.
A Great for big groups
Nice place but they sometimes put pressure on you if you only want to drink and don't order food...
Was good once. After change of ownership not even close to it.
Nice place, nothing fancy.
lovely place especially on sundays. i really like the sunday breakfast buffet and spend almost every quarter a sunday there. in summer times i love to sit outside. they have a nice green backyard.
The place I visited the most, simply good, good price, good food. Ambiance is relax, waitress and waiters always very nice. An institution in the area
No fancy place to go with a suit but really enjoyable place!
Lovely cafe with good food and a nice outdoor seating area
Do not recommend the Saturday brunch.
Very nice little cafe/restaurant in the middle of Frankfurt. Cheap prices and board games available.
Great place for Sunday brunch with a lot of choice. Great value for money. On the negative side, it always booked and you have to reserve early (sometimes more than a week) for the Sunday brunch.
Nice place to meet friends. Good coffee.
Nice atmosphere great food with reasonable price
Toilets are not clean at all, other then that a nice cosy place for student to drink a bit with friends
Nice food but there's no English menu... It takes awhile when ordering food.
Nice relaxed outdoor seating. Friendly service. Good food, made to order.
Nice Saturday brunch buffet
